Mineral:Rhodochrosite on Quartz with Fluorite
Locality:American Tunnel, Sunnyside Mine, Eureka District, San Juan County, Colorado
Description:Translucent pink rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals to 12 mm on colorless quartz microcrystals with lustrous transparent colorless fluorite crystals to 5 mm that fluoresce violet under SW UV illumination. The bottom was sawn flat.
Overall Size:10x8x7 cm
Crystals:0.5-12.0 mm
