Mineral:Vanadinite pseudomorphs after Wulfenite on Barite
Locality:Rowley Mine, near Theba, Maricopa County, Arizona
Description:Lustrous translucent orange vanadinite pseudomorphs after bladed wulfenite crystals to 3 mm in a shallow cavity in white barite. The wulfenite crystallized first, then was encrusted with vanadinite crystals resulting in epimorphs of wulfenite. Ex. B. Gaber collection #658; ex. Paul Pohwat collection (Mineral Collection Manager at Smithsonian)
