Locality:Foote Mine, Kings Mountain, Cleveland County, North Carolina
Description:Translucent yellow spodumene crystals in white quartz. The spodumene crystals are terminated and one is prominently exposed in the center of the specimen. Spodumene was the principle ore at this locality and most specimens went to the crusher. Ex. B. Gaber collection #536; ex. Paul Pohwat collection #938 (Mineral Collection Manager at Smithsonian); collected in 1966 by Arthur Keith of USGS
