Description: | Lustrous red-black sphalerite crystals to 4 mm on one face of compact crystallized sphalerite mass with creme-colored rhombohedral dolomite crystals to 3 mm. The sphalerite crystals show internal transparency when viewed under magnification. From the collection of Dr. Isaac Lea (1792-1886) donated in 1891 to the US National Museum (Smithsonian) No. 49585; traded to Robert C. Linck (1905-1970) |
