Mineral:Smithsonite over Sphalerite
Locality:Garn Alfaya, Tajerouine, Tunisia
Description:Lustrous translucent brown siderite crystals in concentric layered formation over dark sphalerite. The surfaces of the smithsonite crystals have a silky luster caused by microscopic crystal faces. The brown layer chipped away along one edge.
Overall Size:12x8x4 cm
Crystals:2-3 mm thick layers
