Description: | Lustrous transparent-to-translucent red uvite tourmaline crystals with minor colorless magnesite on one side. The uvite tourmaline crystals are short prisms with shallow three-faced pyramidal terminations. Many crystals are in parallel orientation. From the private thumbnail-sized mineral collection of Frank Melanson; collected in 1998. |
