Description:Scattered lustrous transparent blue sapphire crystals, the gem variety of the mineral corundum, to 1.5 mm with octahedral bluish-black spinel crystals to 2 mm plus gray mullite microcrystal impurities in the matrix. Ex. John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson
