Description:Lustrous brown-black goethite in a compact mass of curved fibrous crystals. The fibrous structure of the goethite crystals causes lustrous highlights that resembles chatoyancy. The top surface has earthy brown mineral coating the goethite terminations. Ex. Morris Museum Geology Department (N.J.) #7.20.7.47
