Locality:Blue Point Mine, Pearl Station, Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada
Description:Very large cluster of lustrous transparent grayish-purple amethyst quartz crystals with microscopic red hematite subsurface inclusions that give the amethyst crystals a red-brown appearance. Note the red-brown bladed barite crystals in the upper right. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1970s.
