Mineral:Prehnite pseudomorphs after Anhydrite with minor Calcite
Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Translucent green prehnite epimorphs of tapered anhydrite crystals to 45 mm with minor white calcite. The anhydrite crystallized first, was overgrown by prehnite crystals, when the anhydrite dissolved more prehnite lined the cavities on the underside.
