Locality:Hiddenite, Alexander County, North Carolina
Description:Lustrous translucent dark-red rutile crystals mounted in a Riker Mount with old label from Wards. These rutile crystals are found in a weathered pegmatite are most are not terminated. Many of the rutile crystals are complexly twinned. Ex. Robert Drayer collection, originally acquired in 1946 from Wards
