Description:Lustrous black dodecahedral andradite garnet crystals to 3 mm on greenish serpentine. These garnet crystals are commonly labeled as melanite garnet, an obsolete name for black titanium-rich andradite garnet. Ex. Mort Metersky collection #Ti-4, director of International Calcite Collectors Association; originally acquired in 1970s
