Description: | Plate of lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 7 mm with translucent white scalenohedral calcite crystals to 12 mm on the edge. The amethyst crystals have deepest color in the lower halves, with nearly colorless terminations. Ex. Mort Metersky collection #Si-60, director of International Calcite Collectors Association. Repaired. |
