Locality:Becker Quarry, West Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut
Description:Lustrous transparent Tessin-habit (repeated alternating termination and prism faces forming stepped, tapered crystals) quartz crystals to 8 mm with translucent brown rhombohedral ankerite crystals to 3 mm and platy muscovite crystals to 2 mm. Personally collected during the Lapidary and Mineral Society of Central Connecticut field trip ca. 1995. see article The Remarkable Quartz Crystals of West Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut in Rocks and Minerals v.78 #4
