Mineral:Ephesite with minor Bixbyite
Locality:Lohatlha Mine, Postmasburg Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Description:Compact crystallized mass of translucent pink ephesite with small cavities lined with distinct ephesite crystals. The ephesite crystals, a mica, are hexagonal form with pearly luster on the C-faces. Minor black bixbyite is on one end.
Overall Size:7.5x5.5x4 cm
Crystals:1-3.5 mm
