Mineral:Albite pseudomorphs after Anhydrite with Calcite and Pectolite
Locality:Scotch Plains, Union County, New Jersey
Description:Pink-orange albite pseudomorphs after bladed anhydrite crystals to 40 mm with yellow calcite crystals to 28 mm and pectolite to 6 mm. The anhydrite crystallized first, was overgrown by albite, finally the anhydrite dissolved leaving hollow pseudomorphs. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #6449, originally acquired in 1983, collected by Ken Walling in 1970
