Mineral:Prehnite pseudomorphs after Anhydrite
Locality:Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Rounded formations of translucent green prehnite pseudomorphs after elongated anhydrite crystals to 25 mm. The anhydrite crystallized first, then was overgrown by prehnite, finally the anhydrite dissolved away leaving hollow rectangular cavities. Ex. St. Lawrence University Collection; ex. Howard E. Moore (1926-2011)
