Mineral:Sphalerite on Quartz with Pyrite
Locality:Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Huanuco Department, Peru
Description:Lustrous black octahedral sphalerite crystals to 6 mm intermixed with lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 14 mm and minor pyrite to 2 mm. The sphalerite crystals are twinned on the {111} plane following the Spinel Law of isometric twinning. Ex. D. Miller collection #M111
