Locality:Payśn Matru, 240 km south of Mendoza, Malargue Department, Argentina
Description:Sparkling metallic hematite pseudomorphs after octahedral magnetite crystals up to 24 mm. The specimen is fully crystallized on all sides with only a small point of attachment on the bottom. The magnetite formed first, then altered to hematite. Ex. D. Miller collection #M843
