Description: | Spherical formation of translucent brown gypsum crystals that form in dry lake beds and are called desert roses because they resemble flowers. The gypsum crystals fluoresce white under SW UV illumination, and phosphoresce when illumination is off. Ex. D. Miller collection #M1095, collected in 1969 |
