Locality:GE No. 2 Pollucite Quarry, Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine
Description:Translucent green hexagonal fluorapatite crystal in quartz-albite matrix. The fluorapatite crystal fluoresces yellow under SW UV illumination. New England mineral collectors frequently mislabel these as manganapatite, an invalid mineral species. See article in Rocks and Minerals, Nov.-Dec. 1987, pp. 401
