Mineral:Pyrite with Chalcocite coating
Locality:Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico
Description:Large lustrous gray-metallic pyrite crystal embedded in contrasting white clay-rich matrix. The gray color is caused by a coating of chalcocite. The pyrite crystal is a combination of cubic, octahedral, dodecahedral and diploid forms. Collected in 2015. Analysis of coating performed from Ben Grguric at South Australian Museum
