Description:Compact crystallized mass of yellow-metallic pyrite with brown limonite patina on the weathered surfaces. Pyrite at this locality was mined ca. 1870 as iron ore, and later for the production of HCL. Collected July 1997. See my article: Anthony's Nose, New York -- Three Mineral Localities
