Description:Lustrous black dodecahedral andradite garnet crystals to 7 mm on greenish serpentine with translucent brown clinochlore microcrystals. These black garnets are commonly labeled as melanite garnet, an obsolete name for black titanium-rich andradite garnet. Collected ca. 1980
