Locality: | Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, near Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri |
Description: | Triangular 26 mm translucent brown sphalerite crystal with overgrowth of parallel yellow-metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 4 mm. The chalcopyrite crystals are in epitaxial orientation to the underlying sphalerite which is why they are all parallel. Collected ca. 1945 |
