Locality:Lavrion (Laurium) Mining District, Attica Peninsula, Greece
Description:Lustrous translucent blue smithsonite crystals to 1 mm on both front and rear of gray matrix. The smithsonite crystals are rounded habit over another mineral, possibly calcite, with silky luster caused by microscopic crystal faces on the surfaces. Ex. J. Durkos collection #708; acquired in 1971 from Lawrence H. Conklin (1933-2016)
