Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 8 mm over bladed translucent brown barite crystals to 7 mm. The amethyst has microscopic spherical red hematite subsurface inclusions that give the amethyst crystals a red appearance. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s
