Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Lustrous transparent 22 mm Herkimer diamond crystal, the variety of quartz crystal from the region around Herkimer, N.Y., surrounded by rhombohedral translucent gray dolomite crystals to 4 mm lining a cavity in gray dolostone. The rear was sawn. From my personal collection; collected in 1994
