Mineral:Arfvedsonite (rare terminated Arfvedsonite crystal) with Zircon and Microcline
Locality:Hurricane Mountain, east of Intervale, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Large lustrous black 34 mm arfvedsonite crystal with 1 mm brown zircon crystals and microcline included in the rear corner of the termination. Two lustrous flat termination faces are visible on the arfvedsonite. Terminated arfvedsonite crystals are rare. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s
