Mineral:Quartz var. Smoky Quartz (Dauphiné Law Twinned) with Muscovite Mica
Locality:Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Lustrous transparent smoky quartz crystals, with silvery muscovite mica that interrupted growth on half of the quartz. The smoky quartz crystals have suture patterns on the prism faces indicating twinning following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1970s
