Mineral:Quartz with Goethite-Hematite coating plus minor Chalcopyrite
Locality:Red Bridge Mine, Spring Glen, Ellenville District, Ulster County, New York
Description:Small cavity lined with quartz crystals to 5 mm coated with microscopic iridescent purple-to-green goethite-hematite. The surrounding quartz has chalcopyrite crystals embedded in the surfaces. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1990.
