Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Lustrous transparent 30 mm Herkimer Diamond, the doubly-terminated variety of quartz from around Herkimer region, in translucent yellow calcite with minor pale-pink dolomite crystals. The bottom end of the Herkimer Diamond contacted the cavity wall. From my personal collection; collected in 1994
