|Description:||Lustrous translucent pale-green datolite crystals in a 12-14 mm layer lining part of a cavity wall in basalt. The datolite crystals are in plumose aggregates of subparallel crystals. The bottom was sawn flat to remove excess basalt without damage. From my personal collection; collected May 28, 1999. This quarry is now closed forever and reclaimed|
