Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals on a thin plate of an unidentified fibrous mineral. The amethyst crystals have colorless terminations, with phantom-growth zones of purple color in the lower halves of the crystals. Ex. G. McLoughlin collection, acquired from Neal A. Pfaff (1947–2013) in 1982
