Mineral:Apophyllite on Pectolite over Amethyst Quartz
Locality:Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous translucent gray apophyllite crystals to 28 mm on hemispherical formations to 55 mm diameter of radiating white acicular pectolite crystals over amethyst quartz. The surface of the pectolite crystals altered resulting in irregular surfaces. From my personal collection; ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #16867
