Locality:Vandermade Quarry (Prospect Park Quarry), Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Rare specimen of prismatic white anhydrite crystals to 14 mm coated with translucent brown aragonite crystals to 0.2 mm. The anhydrite crystals in the NJ quarries are usually the first to form, and the first to dissolve, making specimens rare. Ex. St. Lawrence University Collection; ex. Howard E. Moore (1926-2011)
