Description:Compact crystallized mass of gray graphite. An historic graphite specimen from the famous Ticonderoga deposits first discovered in 1887 and operated until 1921 by the Dixon Ticonderoga Company, famous makers of pencils. Ex. W. B. Thompson collection; ex. John H. Marshall (1931-2008) #3831; ex. A.E. Seaman Museum collection #DM16951 (DM = Display Mineral)
