Description:Gray-brown elongated diopside crystals in a shallow cavity with translucent white calcite. The diopside crystals are eight-sided prisms with indistinct terminations. The brown color may be alteration of the surfaces as the cores are greenish-gray. Ex. W. B. Thompson collection; ex. Dr. Joseph Springall (1811-1895) of Dexter, Maine
