Mineral:Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) (formerly apophyllite-(KOH)) with twinned Calcite
Locality:Goose Creek Quarry, near Leesburg, Loudon County, Virginia
Description:Elongated cluster of lustrous translucent white tabular colorless hydroxyapophyllite-(K) crystals to 15 mm with several contact-twinned transparent yellow scalenohedral calcite crystals to 20 mm. The calcite crystals fluoresce white under SW UV. Ex. R. D. O'Donnell collection #267; collected in 1966
