Description: | Very large plate of translucent golden orange-brown bladed stilbite crystals to 9 mm in hemispherical aggregates to 14 mm diameter over translucent colorless calcite crystals to 11 mm. An extraordinary specimen from an obscure locality in south NJ. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia collection #23158, collected by Sam Gordon (1897-1952) in 1924 |
