Mineral:Witherite with Barite overgrowth
Locality:Scaleburn Vein, Nenthead, Alston Moor, Cumbria, England
Description:Translucent beige-yellow hexagonal witherite crystals to 12 mm with overgrowth of lustrous white bladed barite crystals to 5 mm on the outer surfaces. Both the witherite crystals and overlying barite crystals fluoresce under SW UV illumination. Collected by John and Robert Lawson in 1993
