Description:Lustrous transparent orange-brown dodecahedral grossular garnet crystals in a small cavity in a mass of grossular. The cavities at this locality are small, and the surrounding massive grossular is VERY hard, making collecting large specimens difficult. Ex. Robert P. Bates (1926-2008) Collection #187
