Description:Lustrous purple amethyst quartz crystal that is transparent in the upper portions and has milky areas in the lower fourth. Many microscopic hematite inclusions and negative-crystals are visible inside the amethyst crystal when viewed under magnification. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #60; originally acquired ca. 1995
