Mineral:Datolite on Quartz with Calcite and Pyrite
Locality:Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous transparent pale-green datolite crystals to 4 mm over an earlier generation of smoky quartz crystals to 5 mm on gray basalt. Colorless rhombic calcite crystals to 2.5 mm and pyrite microcrystals are scattered over the datolite throughout. From my personal collection; collected in 2000.
