Mineral:Fluorite (with internal phantom-growth zoning)
Locality:Middle Mountain, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Translucent green cubic fluorite crystal on a fragment of fluorite. The fluorite crystal has etched crystal faces resulting in matte luster and has zoning with a green core and 3 mm brown outer layer plus thin fluorite second generation on the faces. Collected ca. 1985-90. See article: Minerals of the Conway and Mount Osceola Granites of New Hampshire in Rocks & Minerals vol. 65 #4
