Description:Cleavage of labradorite, the gem variety of anorthite feldspar, that exhibits bright blue Schiller-effect in many areas when illuminated at the correct angle. The labradorite is lamellar-twinned resulting in banded patterns in the Schiller-effect areas. Ex. Harry W. Eichel, Jr. (1914-1990); ex. Phil-Mont Christian Academy. Collected ca. 1915
