Description: | Unusual transparent corundum crystal (variety sapphire) with cleavage faces that reveal remarkable transparency and crystallization patterns. Labeled as from Chantaboon, Siam this probably dates to the 1930 report by George Kunz of local gems. Collected ca. 1930 |
