Description: | Lustrous black marmatite crystals, the iron-rich black variety of the mineral species sphalerite, to 7 mm with a few cubic yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 5 mm. The sphalerite crystals are triangular tetrahedral form with striated faces. Collected ca. 1990; ex. John Davis (Montrose, Colorado) |
