Locality:Becker Quarry, West Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut
Description:Lustrous transparent Tessin-habit quartz crystals to 12 mm with rhombic translucent yellow magnesite crystals to 6 mm and chlorite microcrystals. Tessin-habit quartz crystals have repeated termination and prism faces forming tapered, elongated crystals. From my personal collection; collected at the LMSCC field trip ca. 1995. see article The Remarkable Quartz Crystals of West Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut in Rocks and Minerals v.78 #4
