Description: | Translucent pink smithsonite in concentrically layered botryoidal (hemispherical) aggregates to 25 mm diameter over grainy gray matrix. The smithsonite crystal surfaces are composed of microscopic crystal faces that give the smithsonite a silky luster. Collected ca. 1990 |
